About Us - Our Story

The Story Behind Mother City Firewood

Our story is one of resilience, hard work and the burning desire to provide the best wood and services in the industry.

Achieving our goals would then provide unforgettable moments for you, your family and your friends.

 Firewood Done Right

Our Wood Becomes Your Moments

We understand that these moments around a fire are not just about the cooking; they’re about connection, togetherness, and making lasting memories.

Where we started to Online

Starting in 2001 in our backyard from our home, then moving to a yard the 8th May 2002 (the same premises we have today) it has been some journey.

September 2026 we acquired this website to reach more people that never knew about us.

Join Our Journey

We are proud to be part of the Cape Town Mother City region — a community that shares our values of warmth, connection, and love.

Starting January 2027, we will be introducing a range of exciting new services designed around one simple goal: making your firewood experience easier, more convenient, and completely hassle-free.

We're rethinking the way firewood is bought, delivered, and enjoyed — so you can spend less time worrying about wood and more time enjoying the warmth.

Your fire. Our responsibility.
